Abstract

Purpose: We examine the result by using Er:YAG laser in case of implant first surgery and study the pertinent practical method.

Case report: We used Er:YAG laser (wavelength 2,940nm , SDL-3300, B&B system ,Korea.). We can give more elaborate treatment than ever by controling laser output, using developed laser tip under water spray. This study shows that the operate site will be on the mend without an inflammation or delayed healing process.

Conclusion: when we do implant surgery, using Er:YAG laser, there was a little pain and discomfort in the middle of the operation and also after that. And there was no thermal damage as well as delay of wound healing. we concluded that Er:YAG laser irradiation did not adversely affect the bone healing process and would be applicable for implant surgery.
